{"id":2937,"date":"2016-06-20T12:20:04","date_gmt":"2016-06-20T10:20:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/inercomunicacion.com\/?p=2937\/"},"modified":"2017-05-24T13:46:42","modified_gmt":"2017-05-24T11:46:42","slug":"inerco-conducts-environmental-impact-study-and-archaeological-monitoring-plan-for-the-future-chinchero-cusco-international-airport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/inercomunicacion.com\/en\/inerco-conducts-environmental-impact-study-and-archaeological-monitoring-plan-for-the-future-chinchero-cusco-international-airport\/","title":{"rendered":"INERCO conducts environmental impact study and archaeological monitoring plan  for the future Chinchero\u2013Cusco International Airport"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.inercoperu.com.pe\/\"><strong>INERCO Consultor\u00eda Per\u00fa<\/strong><\/a> has conducted the <strong>detailed environmental impact study for the \u201cImprovement of airport services in the Cusco region through the new Chinchero\u2013Cusco International Airport\u201d<\/strong>, approved by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mtc.gob.pe\/transportes\/socioambientales\/index.html\">General Directorate for Socio-Environmental Matters (DGASA, for its Spanish initials) of the Peruvian Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC)<\/a>, which awarded the associated environmental certificate to the corporation Sociedad Aeroportuaria KunturWasi.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to this, <strong>INERCO <\/strong>drafted the <strong>Archaeological Monitoring Plan (PMA, for its Spanish initials)<\/strong> for the <strong>New Cusco\u2013Chinchero International Airport <\/strong>Project, approved by the <u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.drc-cusco.gob.pe\/\">Decentralised Culture Directorate of Cusco (DDCC) under the Ministry of Culture (MC)<\/a>.<\/u>\u00a0\u00a0 The company also carried out <strong>173 archaeological digs<\/strong> within the grounds of the airport concession with the aim of verifying whether there were archaeological remains present.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/inercomunicacion.com\/es\/wp-content\/uploads\/INERCO-Peru-estudio-ambiental-aeropuerto-chinchero-cusco.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1972\" src=\"http:\/\/inercomunicacion.com\/es\/wp-content\/uploads\/INERCO-Peru-estudio-ambiental-aeropuerto-chinchero-cusco.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"266\" height=\"133\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Similarly, <strong>INERCO<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.inercoperu.com.pe\/index.php\/arqueologia\">provided<strong> archaeological supervision services<\/strong><\/a> in the drilling of the underground well by rotation, the installation of an AWOSS system and archaeological supervision for the topographical and planimetry surveying of colonial and Inca trails.<\/p>\n<p><u><a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Aeropuerto_Internacional_de_Chinchero\">The airport infrastructure project will be located29 kilometres north-west of the city of Cusco<\/a><\/u> and will involve investment of approximately $539 US for the beginning of the operations. The contract was awarded to Sociedad Aeroportuaria\u00a0KunturWasi, made up of the companies Corporaci\u00f3n Am\u00e9rica S.A. and Andino Investment Holding; KunturWasi will hold the concession for 40 years.<\/p>\n<p>The airport will provide passengers with a high level of service, in a 40,000\u00a0m2 terminal with an initial capacity for 4.5 million passengers per year, which may grow in accordance with demand up to 5.7 million passengers per year.
