Latin America<\/strong> is one of INERCO<\/a>\u2019s key destinations. With more than 30 years\u2019 international experience<\/strong> in the fields of engineering, energy technology and consulting in industrial safety, occupational health and safety and the environment<\/strong>, the company\u2019s active presence in Latin America includes not only one-off projects in sectors including oil&gas, chemicals, petrochemicals, mining, electricity and gas and civil infrastructure<\/strong>, among others; since 2010, the INERCO Group<\/strong> has had a presence, with its own offices and staff, in Brazil<\/a>, Chile<\/a>, Colombia<\/a>, Mexico<\/a> and Peru<\/a>, validating INERCO<\/strong>\u2019s status as a provider of global services since the very beginning.<\/p>\n

In fact, oil&gas<\/strong><\/a> is one of the sectors where INERCO is most experienced<\/strong>. Testament to this are the company\u2019s wok for Petrobras<\/a>,\u00a0Pemex<\/a>,\u00a0PDVSA<\/a>,\u00a0Ecopetrol<\/a>,\u00a0Petroper\u00fa<\/a>,\u00a0ENAP<\/a>,\u00a0Repsol<\/a>,\u00a0Cepsa<\/a>,\u00a0Exxon Mobile<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0ConocoPhillips<\/a>, among others. These projects afforded the company the opportunity to provide services in the fields of risk prevention and occupational health, industrial safety and the environment.<\/p>\n

INERCO<\/strong> was selected by Petrobras<\/a> in 2015 to provide technical services in occupational hygiene<\/strong> at several of the company\u2019s platforms and maritime units; work for this project has a timeframe of three years. INERCO<\/strong>\u2019s specialised technicians carry out risk assessments for exposure to noise, heat and chemical agents, providing both onshore and offshore services (the latter covering 95 per cent of the actions). The technicians are also responsible for creating homogenous exposure groups, applying Preliminary Risk Analysis for Occupational Hygiene (APR-HO, for its Spanish abbreviation) as the analysis technique.<\/p>\n

These occupational hygiene<\/a> services take place on board Petrobras\u2019 maritime units in Rio de Janeiro (Maca\u00e9), S\u00e3o Paulo (Santos), Espirito Santo (Vit\u00f3ria), Bah\u00eda (Salvador), Sergipe (Aracaj\u00fa) and Santa Catarina (Itaja\u00ed)<\/strong>, while the onshore work is carried out in Maca\u00e9 (Rio de Janeiro). Work has been carried out to date on four oil platforms, as well as eight survey ships and onshore workshops<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Also in Brazil, INERCO<\/strong> was responsible in 2016 for the archaeological studies for gas pipelines in inland S\u00e3o Paulo for Gas Natural Fenosa<\/strong> and HAZOP<\/strong> and reliability studies for natural gas compressor stations for TBG (Transportadora Brasileira Gasoducto Bol\u00edvia\u2013Brasil)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In addition to this, INERCO\u2019s proprietary technology for optimising process furnace combustion<\/strong><\/a> is currently being installed in the Landulpho Alves refinery, operated by Petrobras<\/a>. This project will enable improved energy yield and the reduction of the plant\u2019s emissions, using technology that has already been proven at plants in Europe and the Americas.<\/p>\n

In Mexico, INERCO<\/strong> contributed its experience in the field of occupational health and safety<\/strong> in a large Odebrecht<\/strong> project, the construction of a 400\u00a0km stretch of the Los Ramones II Norte gas pipeline<\/strong>. In 2015, the company carried out the risk recognition (identifying and assessing hygiene and ergonomic risks) and preventive measure proposals for this strategic infrastructure project.<\/p>\n
