INERCO<\/strong><\/a> celebrated its Weekly \u2018Challenges and normative trend opportunities in Chile about reduction and control of emissions of stationary sources in the industry\u2019, <\/a>a meeting where experts in the matter analysed topics related to air quality regulations, implementation of green taxes, development of plans for decontamination and emissions in the auditing process<\/strong>, all of which define a scenario where the control and emission monitoring are key factors in the operation and development of projects in Chile.<\/p>\n

The seminar organized by INERCO<\/strong><\/a>, which boasted the presence of more than 50\u00a0professionals from different industries that operate in Chile, was moderated by C\u00e9sar Escobar, General Manager of INERCO Consulting Chile<\/a>, and allowed assistants to participate in the debate forum where they went into depth about topics related to the reduction and control of emissions of stationary sources in the industry<\/strong><\/a>, a field in which INERCO possesses more than three decades of international experience. <\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

During the first module dedicated to regulation aspects of emissions of stationary sources and its connection with air quality and decontamination plans, <\/strong>Juan Manuel L\u00f3pez, Quality and Business Manager of INERCO Consulting Chile<\/a> stated the details of the regulations that affect Chile<\/strong> regarding the limitation and monitoring of air emissions. At his expertise judgment, the regulatory framework in the country should contribute to reaching the environmental and social benefit desired, \u201cbut at the same time, it cannot involve measures that incur costs or efforts disproportional to industrial activities\u201d.<\/p>\n

To continue in the framework of the same topic, Javier Vergara, Lawyer and Shareholder of VGC Abogados<\/a>, and specialist in environmental issues, reported on the way they operate in environmental courts, and the different legal aspects that one should have in mind when launching a project in different industries.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>INERCO\u2019S TECHNOLOGY TO REDUCE EMISSIONS: CEMS and ABACO<\/strong><\/p>\n

The second block of the seminar was centred on two technical topics: the introduction and management of CEMS and the effect of the tool ABACO in the efficiency and reduction of emissions in stationary sources.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Antonio Alvarado, Inspection and Control Manager of INERCO<\/a>, described in detail the keys to success for the implementation and management of continual emission monitoring (CEMS)<\/strong>, as well as its requirements and use alternatives. The INERCO<\/strong><\/a> expert explained that this technology, which has already been implemented in various plants in Chile<\/a>, presents itself as a viable option for the measurement of emissions, \u201ctransforming into an efficient tool for the management and reporting of emissions\u201d.<\/p>\n

In the last exposition of the seminar, Julio Monta\u00f1\u00e9s, Technology Manager of INERCO Chile<\/a>, explained the virtues of the ABACO technology<\/strong>, a tool that has been fully developed by INERCO<\/strong>, which allows energy and reduction optimization of emissions in processing plants that involve combustion, particularly in the operation of ovens and industrial boilers.<\/a> This instrument works under the \u201cControlled Home\u201d philosophy<\/strong>, where an advanced monitoring system, capacities for regulation improvement and expert combustion system are integrated,<\/strong> allowing to reduce the emissions of atmospheric contaminants such as CO2, NOx, SO2 and PM among others.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
