The broadband Internet installation programme in the regions of Huancavelica, Ayacucho and Cusco<\/strong> that Gilat Networks Per\u00fa is carrying out is supported by the work of INERCO<\/strong><\/a> within the important field of Social Management.<\/p>\n

Once the work was finished in the first two regions, where INERCO<\/strong><\/a> technical experts led awareness-raising and information workshops for the population<\/strong> of these large rural areas, in December 2017, the work in the region of Cusco was subcontracted.<\/p>\n

Specifically, the project included training in Spanish and native tongue (Quechua)<\/strong> with the aim of explaining to the inhabitants of the rural villages the benefits of Internet<\/strong> that would interconnect them with the capital of the region as well as the capital of the country.<\/p>\n

For the putting into operation of this important social project, INERCO<\/strong><\/a> created methodologies and teaching material adapted to the population benefitting from the project, around 200,000\u00a0inhabitants of rural areas in the country<\/strong>. In the same way, the simultaneous deployment of 40\u00a0social specialists was required for the execution of the training sessions.<\/p>\n

Through the implementation of these projects, the populations of over 500\u00a0villages in rural areas in these three regions of Peru<\/strong> will have Internet and Intranet Access, through installation in public bodies, education centres, health centres and police stations, in such a way that the improvement of communication and inter-regional social cohesion is encouraged.<\/p>\n
