ASESA AWARDS INERCO THE FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING PROJECTS IN ITS REFINERY IN THE INDUSTRIAL CENTRE OF TARRAGONA

INERCO has been awarded a framework agreement for the implementation of engineering projects in the refinery that Asfaltos Españoles SA (ASESA) operates in the Industrial Centre of Tarragona. This refinery complex, operated 50/50 by multinationals CEPSA and REPSOL, is one of the major producers of bitumen in Spain.

INERCO —with its resources from the Engineering Division and support from its office in Tarragona— will be in charge of implementing a large part of the projects in this sector that will develop over the next three years (with the extension of one more, until 2021). By doing so, INERCO will put its highly qualified team of professionals at the service of ASESA for the development of engineering projects.

With more than 30 years of experience in 60 countries worldwide, INERCO is a benchmark in engineering for the oil and gas sector, having carried out important projects for leading operators in this industry.

The Director of the Engineering Division, Pedro Rodríguez Muñoz, affirms that this agreement will allow INERCO “to become one of the leaders in engineering for companies in the oil and gas sector, backed by considerable experience and also by its professional team, commitment to innovation and the use of the latest technologies in this field”.

This new contract award has increased the number of agreements of this type for INERCO in the last years from other operators in the oil and gas sector, for which INERCO has carried out engineering projects for new facilities as well as the revamping of existing facilities.
