INERCO met the Commissioner for Climate Change and Energy Model with the aim of promoting lines of collaboration for the sustainable industrial development of Andalusia

Juan Manuel Muñoz Romero, Commissioner for Climate Change and Energy Model of the Junta de Andalucía and his Technical Advisors, on September 9th, met with the president of INERCO, Vicente Cortés and the company’s management team, with the objective of advancing in lines of collaboration in the field of sustainable industrial development in Andalusia.

At this meeting, held at INERCO’s headquarters, the Commissioner and his Technical Advisors analyzed and commented with INERCO executives about the challenges of climate change facing Andalusia. Likewise, the senior representatives of the Junta de Andalucía learned about the high added value and know-how developed by INERCO, its technologies and specialized services in renewable energy, green hydrogen, storage and energy management. These are effective solutions for the energy transition and decarbonization of key industrial sectors in Andalusia (electricity, chemical, oil & gas, mining, steel, cement, etc.).

Along these lines, according to Vicente Cortés, “in the field of energy transition and climate change, INERCO makes all of our capacity available to key economic agents (industry, power generators, public bodies and institutions, etc.) technique and knowledge to develop projects that are viable and profitable”. In this sense, Pedro Marín, presented to the Commissioner a work plan to promote the development of energy hubs for the production and use of green hydrogen in the Industrial Poles of Andalusia.

The Commissioner for Climate Change and Energy Model and his Technical Advisors toured the INERCO facilities, which allowed them to learn directly from the Directors of Technology, Engineering and HSE Consulting the current projects in execution and development, both nationally and internationally, as well as the innovation and technological development projects in which INERCO participates.
