WATER VACUUM EVAPORATION BY MECHANICAL VAPOR COMPRESSION TECHNOLOGY INSTALLED BY INERCO IN A WASTE TREATMENT PLANT FOR 12 OCTOBER HOSPITAL (MADRID)
INERCO Water Treatment has been the contractor for the construction of a Waste Treatment Plant for the Laboratory area of the 12 October Hospital in Madrid. The Vacuum Evaporation by Mechanical Compression technology installed by INERCO will be present in one of the biggest health centres in Spain, in the interest of treating the chemical waste from the different tests and analyses that are carried out, which must be treated before going to the sewer in order to comply with current legislation.
In this way, the 12 October Hospital becomes a pioneer in the use of vacuum evaporation by mechanical compression technology for this type of effluent treatment, a result of the pilot experience carried out last year by INERCO, which has demonstrated the viability of this technology. Thus, not only are we applying the most innovative technology on the market in terms of waste purification for this type of use, but the costs that up till now the treatment of these liquid residues has involved are also reduced.
INERCO Water Treatment is currently undertaking the installation of the new plant, for which it will also take on control of operations and maintenance over the next four years.
For Antonio Copado, Assistant Director of INERCO Water Treatment, the bet of the 12 October Hospital for this technology involves an endorsement “of our policy of offering the most advanced solutions for the treatment of waste, in especially sensitive sectors such as the sanitary or industrial sectors, with a very clear, strict legislation that we must comply with.”
