Alespri plant using INERCO’S zero liquid discharge technology

INERCO works in the fields of industrial engineering, advanced emission reduction technology development, energy efficiency, the exploitation of renewable energy sources, noise control and industrial waste water treatment. The company has made an agreement with ALESPRI to install its industrial waste water treatment technology at their manufacturing plant in Benicarló (Castellón).

The plant manufactures anodised aluminium ferrules and caps for perfume, pharmaceutical and air freshener sprays and is to be equipped with INERCO’s technology, which will enable the recovery of over 95% of the water used in the production plant, a saving of over 60,000 m³.

ALESPRI is one of the major manufacturers in the sector, producing over 1.5 billion pieces, of which 90 per cent are exported around the world. Specifically, INERCO’s work will consist in the installation of a “zero liquid discharge” system which will recover over 95% of the water used at the company’s production plants and the completely eliminate any kind of external liquid discharge.

The turnkey project includes the treatment of all waste water through ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis and vacuum evaporation. This technology physically separates contaminants from the water and condenses purified water which is fully exploitable for industrial uses, guaranteeing subsequent reuse.

This INERCO technical project, expected to be inaugurated in 2016, will enable a saving of over 60,000 m3 of water per year, a clear environmental improvement as it means the elimination of all liquid discharge.
