INERCO at Heliexpo, the World´s largest helicopter show

INERCO took part in Heliexpo, the world’s largest trade show in the helicopters sector, held in Orlando (United States). The event was attended by over 700 helicopters sector and training companies from 90 countries, as well as pilots and industrial technicians. The event offered the opportunity to learn about the latest advances in the market and trends for the near future.

The INERCO Forespro delegation, led by managing director Antonio Lobera, presented the company’s advanced training, rescue and emergency services, which follow a proprietary methodology and have made the company an ally both to industry and to the Armed Forces of Spain and several Latin America countries (Mexico, Ecuador, Peru and Colombia). This involved meeting with various operators, such as Erickson, helicopter manufacturers, such as Airbus, and materials manufacturers, such as LSC, among others.

Participating in Heliexpo also enabled INERCO Forespro’s team to compare its capabilities against the new technological solutions on the market, intending to continue at the cutting edge with the professional training programmes it offers at its homologated centres. An initial collaboration agreement was closed with Artibus, a supplier of specialised materials to the sector. Through this, INERCO will be responsible for training for customers across the Americas, including elite military helicopter units in Latin American countries.

Agreements were also made for advanced training programmes for Salvage, Search and Rescue (SAR) groups of the Colombian army and navy, training programmes for Mexico’s “Relámpago” and “Cóndor” rescue units and various proposals for the creation and training of SAR teams for international operators.

For Antonio Lobera, Heliexpo 2015 represented the culmination of work that began last year at the same event in Los Angeles, “with INERCO Forespro being established and recognised in the sector as a Spanish-speaking company with a presence in Latin America, where American companies have had a strong influence in the past.”
