INERCO receives “Supplier of Excellence” award from the enersis group (Endesa – Chile)

INERCO has been awarded the 2015 ENERSIS Group (ENDESA–Chile) Suppliers award in the category “Excellence as a Service Provider in Large Projects” in recognition of its work to reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency at the Bocamina power station in the commune of Coronel (Region VIII).

INERCO is the leading technology company in the area and is carrying out work in the fields of industrial engineering, the environment, industrial safety and workplace risk prevention. The award ceremony, which took place during the Sixth Congress of Enersis Suppliers 2015, was attended byINERCO Tecnología Chile general manager Julio Montañés.

INERCO has worked as a supplier to the ENDESA Group since 1990. The Enersis Group award was given to the project to install a technological solution to reduce NOx (nitrogen oxide) emissions at the Bocamina I power station, which has enabled the plant to comply with new emissions regulations for thermal electric stations (Supreme Decree No. 13/2011 of the Ministry for the Environment).

The technology installed at the plant in Chile has been validated in similar projects at a various thermal power stations around the world, representing the application of advanced solutions adapted to the specific circumstances of each case.

INERCO Tecnología Chile general manager Julio Montañés highlighted the honour that receiving the ENERSIS Group (ENDESA-Chile) award represented for INERCO, “thanks to the recognition of our work in such an important project as the one at Bocamina I, which has demonstrated the cutting edge of our technological capabilities in the field of emissions reduction and combustion optimisation.”
