Salvage and rescue training for Cóndores Group in Mexico City

INERCO PROVIDES SALVAGE AND RESCUE TRAINING TO THE MEXICO CITY PUBLIC SECURITY SECRETARIAT’S CÓNDORES HELICOPTER UNIT

INERCO Forespro was commissioned to provide salvage and rescue training to the “Cóndores” helicopter transport group, part of the Mexico City Secretariat of Public SecurityINERCO’s expert qualified instructors gave a homologated one-hundred-hour SAR course to pilots, winch operators and rescue operatives from Mexico City’s General Directorate of Air Services. The course placed special emphasis on rescues in urban areas, specifically skyscrapers and large buildings.

INERCO Forespro’s extensive experience in SAR training was of assistance in improving the capacities of the elite crew, which will now reinforce its helicopter rescue operations and its interventions in risk situations in the capital, which has a population of almost 9 million.

INERCO’s level of specialisation and technical capacity have enabled it to put into practice a proprietary methodology covered by its clear commitment to protocol safety, the use of top quality materials and a service that is adapted to the customer’s every need.

In addition to this new INERCO training initiative, another was carried out recently for the “Relámpagos” (Lightning) Air Rescue Unit, which was given a course on forest fires, vertical rescue and training in urban settings. INERCO has therefore worked with Mexico’s only two helicopter rescue groups.

During the course’s closing ceremony, students gave a display at one of the city’s emblematic locations, the Sports Pavilion from the 1970 Olympic Games. On the roof of the building, they demonstrated a rescue exercise in a difficult-to-access space with one of their helicopters, a BELL 429 model.
