INERCO chair holds a technical seminar on environmental risks and industrial safety

On 22 April, the INERCO Chair held a technical seminar on environmental risk and industrial safety at the Seville Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSI).

At this working conference for students, the INERCO Chair director Juan Santos Remesal gave an overview of the key aspects of risk management; with input from Paula Ollero Álvarez of INERCO’s Industrial Safety department on hazard analysis as a management tool; from Cristina León Maestre, of the same department, on emergency planning and self-protection; from INERCO risk prevention director Pablo Navarro González on priority risk prevention actions in industry; and a talk from INERCO Chair teaching coordinator Eladio Romero González addressing environmental risk in the new European project authorisation regulations.

This educational action, promoted by INERCO, aims to promote interdisciplinary research activities studying the current situation, issues and perspectives of environmental risk and safety from all relevant points of view. The INERCO Chair also runs the training programme and research work that contribute to improving the training of ETSI students.
