INERCO Chile presents an innovative risk management solution using a mobile app: eFinding
Operational optimisation is based on analysis and data recorded on site to enable the identification of faults in order to establish corrective solutions. One of the main problems in this field is the time that passes between data collection in the field and the transfer of the information to the staff responsible for managing the findings.
eFinding is a new smart tool developed by INERCO and the company eWin to facilitate notification of on-site HSEQC (health, safety, environment, quality and community) findings. The application, available for all types of smartphone, makes it possible to survey information around faults or poor operating practices, using a fast, user-friendly system (a mobile app). This enables the company’s key staff to be instantly informed about identified risks, thereby preventing accidents from taking place. This mobile application therefore makes it possible to optimise the use of time and resources and to stimulate the company’s continuous improvement cycle.
TWO VERSIONS OF EFINDING
The basic version of eFinding enables users to provide voice or text commands and describe, photograph and geographically locate issues they wish to report, also generating a report in a PDF file. The professional version of the application also allows for the inclusion of a plan of the plant’s installations, the classification of findings, risks and the importance of corrective actions, the codification and personalisation of reports and a visual indicator generator, among other functions. Both versions work in conjunction with a web system (Report Manager), enabling the management of all findings identified at the company.
eFindingalso allows for the implementation of any checklist associated to routine on-site HSEQC inspections, reducing the time and resources involved in these inspections and improving the traceability and reliability of the information recorded.
