INERCO participated in CONAMA in the session on the role of the Directive on Industrial Emissions in the taxonomy of sustainable investments
On May 31th, the National Environmental Congress (CONAMA) held a face-to-face session on the role of the Directive on Industrial Emissions in the taxonomy of sustainable investments (ST-38).
In this session, Esther Valdivia, Director of INERCO‘s Environment Division and coordinator representing the Official College of Industrial Engineers of Western Andalusia, introduced the objectives of this Technical Committee.
The first part of the event was held on the administration’s vision, in which they spoke about the process of reviewing the implementation of the Directive itself and the PRTR Regulation and the experience in the application of emission limit values, with Iñigo de Vicente (Administrator of PRTR-Spain of the technical assistance of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge) and with the presentation prepared by Albert Avellaneda Bargués (Generalitat of Catalonia).
Later in the session about sustainable investments taxonomy, the environmental objectives for sustainable financing and the use of the taxonomy of activities for a sustainable, social and fair recovery were discussed. F. Javier Hidalgo (Head of the Department of Environment of INERCO) and Sonia Silva (CCOO Construction and services) participated.
The session ended with the industrial sector’s vision in which the review process of the DEI commented by Eva Rodríguez (CEOE) and the situation of the activity of the waste management / soil recovery sector by Luis Palomino (ASEGRE), ending with a discussion among the attendees.
