Social management for projects related to the tourism and fisheries sectors with the INERCO Peru seal of quality
The social management of projects in Peru has become a key area for developing various important initiatives in the country. INERCO has reinforced its role in this field, with over ten years’ experience in sectors such as mining, oil&gas, infrastructures or telecommunications, among others.
Work began recently on the project commissioned by the Paracas Port Terminal, which carries out activities in the San Martín Port in the district of Paracas, in the region of Ica. The aim of this project is to improve the current situation of small businesses located in the area of El Chaco, for which INERCO is providing consultancy services and addressing all the individual and collective requirements by providing training adapted to the specific reality of the area.
This project included forming a team of facilitators residing in the area, to interact transversely, in a participatory manner, with the businesses. These facilitators directly visit the businesses in El Chaco on a daily basis to obtain a diagnosis of the current situation and to draw up a participatory report indicating any specific problems, concerns and proposals of the business owners.
Based on this, INERCO will draw up a report and a plan of action to achieve the individual and collective plans and projects.
National Program for Innovation in Fisheries and Aquaculture (PNIPA)
In this area, INERCO Peru and its Social Management and Community Relations Department, organised the official inauguration event for the launch of the National Program for Innovation in Fisheries and Aquaculture (PNIPA), promoted by the Ministry of Production in collaboration with the World Bank.
The PNIPA is a new national project that seeks to build and strengthen the Innovation System in Fisheries and Aquaculture, with the aim of finding innovations in the fisheries sector within the framework of sustainable and competitive development. Experts from INERCO Peru actively took part in consolidating the messages transmitted by the various public and private stakeholders that form part of this initiative.
