INERCO RENEWS ITS COMMITMENT TO FIGHT CLIMATE CHANGE WITH ADHESION TO THE ANDALUSIAN EMISSIONS OFFSETTING SYSTEM

INERCO has reaffirmed its commitment to fighting climate change with the renewal of its membership of the Andalusian Emissions Offsetting System (SACE, for its Spanish initials). The platform is promoted by the Regional Ministry of the Environment and Land Zoning of the Andalusian regional government and includes companies that voluntarily take part in the reduction of atmospheric greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

This membership represents INERCO’s voluntary participation in the initiative, in line with the company’s internal code of ethics, which establishes minimising environmental impact as one action to be taken, among other measures. As part of this, INERCO carries out an annual greenhouse gas emissions audit and prepares an emissions reduction plan.

INERCO general director Pedro Marín collected the certificate accrediting the agreement from the regional minister for the environment and land zoning, María Jesús Serrano, alongside the other companies subscribing to the system. A total of 61 Andalusian companies have joined SACE; in the words of the minister, this “demonstrates Andalusia’s commitment and awareness in the fight against climate change.”

Pedro Marín in turn highlighted that the company’s signature of the document demonstrates “INERCO’s firm commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, in accordance with the work we are carrying out with our main customers.”
